Byron Covert planned to make a steam car, but his fiorst production machine was a petro; engined runabout with a 3hp single cylinder engine and chain drive. It was vey small, with a 62inch wheelbase and weighing only 350lbs. For 1903 he replaced chain drive from the rear axle mounted gearbox, and quoted power went up to 5hp. A 24hp 4 cylinder tourer at a cost of $2250 was offered in 1904 and 1905, but for the last two years of the firm, only the runabout was listed, now with a 6.5hp engine and a wheelbase of 72inches.
