Falcon Shells Limited of Waltham Abbey, Essex was another provider of fibreglass body shells for older components, in this case the Ford 10 100E 1172cc engined donor cars. The original chassis was a simple twin tube type. Also available was a space frame chassis designed by Len Terry and based on his successful 1172 Formula racer. Later chassis were made by the Progress Chassis Company with coil spring suspension at both ends, independant at the front and a live rear axle.
The body styles were an open Competition two seater and the Caribbean GT coupe. A four seat saloon called the Bermuda was also offered. Falcons were supplied in kit form and would accept a number of engines including the Ford 100E and 105E Ford Anglia units. They were also designed for the Coventry Climax 1098cc and 1216cc engines and the MGA unit.
By 1963 Falcon were offering the 515 GT with a body styled by the Brazilian T. Rohonyl. The fibreglass body was bonded to a tubular frame and was designed to accept Ford Cortina components.
Kit cars of this type were popular as there was no purchase tax payable if the cars were home assembled. However by 1964 the demand kit cars declined and Falcon Shells ceased production.
