A classic Ferrari 575M Maranello originally owned by legendary rock guitarist Eric Clapton and
subsequently by Radio 2 DJ Chris Evans, is coming under the hammer with Silverstone
Auctions on 23 July.
The yellow ‘Giallo Fly’ Ferrari with black ‘Nero Daytona’ leather was built to Clapton’s
specification and delivered in 2003. The 200 mph-plus V12 Ferrari sports the semi-automatic
F1 gearbox and many factory-fitted extras including a Fiorano handling kit, satnav, interior
carbon fibre pack, yellow brake callipers, Scuderia windshield and full Ferrari service history
with two cam belt changes. With a Tubi exhaust and hi-fi system with sub woofer, the
magnificent music made by this Italian supercar is only equalled by the legendary musical
heritage of its first owner.
