Sir Elton John has been one of the most prolific and discerning of Britain's car collectors. Inevitably, the star's cars have not only enjoyed high profile celebrity status, but have benefited - whilst resident in his well stocked motor house - from having been maintained and pampered absolutely regardless of cost. The latest in Elton's extraordinary cache of stunning automobiles to come to market is this Honda supercar, which joined the pop icon's collection in 1995 since when the NSX had only done 32,000 miles when entered for this sale. The current condition of 2-seater fixed head coupe bodywork is said to be A1 with silver paintwork, black interior, engine and manual transmission all reportedly in excellent order too. Honda began work on their mid-engined answer to Porsche and Ferrari in 1984, the resultant NSX (the initials standing for New Sports eXperimental) finally going into production from 1990. The 3-litre 24-valve V6 with twin camshafts to each bank of cylinders, producing 250bhp, was mounted transversely behind the driver, driving through a 5-speed transmission.
