Hupp-Yeats

The company was called R.C.H Corporation of Detroit, Michigan and was started by Robert C. Hupp after he left Hupmobile in 1911. It made electric cars under the name Hupp-Yeats and petrol cars as the R.C.H. The first of these was a 3 seater landaulette, but for 1912 they branched out into a wide range of styles with grand names such as the Patrician coupe and torpedo, Regent coupe and Regina roadster. They had Westinghouse motors and five forward speeds with a range of 75 to 90 miles. In 1913 Robert Hupp left to try his luck with the Monarch Motor Car Company. About 1000 cars had been made and a further 20 were assembled in 1914. The R.C.H. Corporation was bought by a group of businessmen who discontinued the R.C.H. but continued with the electric. Waning demand meant that far fewer were sold than during Robert Hupp's regime and production ended in 1919.
