Little
Little Motor Car Company, Flint, Michigan.
This was a car named after William H. Little, former general manager of Buick whom William H. Durant put in charge of the Flint Wagon Works, where the Whiting had been made from 1910 to 1912. Two models of Little were made: the fist was a light car with a 20hp 4 cylinder engine, made only as a 2 seater roadster selling for $690. This went into production in the summer of 1912. The second was a 30hp six which Durant ordered because the first Chevrolet turned out to be too expensive. The Little Six cost $1285, the Chevrolet Six $2150. He combined the best features of both in the 1914 Chevrolet Light Six, and the Little Six became surplus to requirements. It was dropped in May 1913 along with the Four, after about 3500 Littles had been made in both models.
