Malicet et Blin
Malicet et Blin 1897 - c.1903
Ets Malicet et Blin, Aubervilliers, Seine, France.
Paul Malicet and Eugene Blin set up their partnership in 1890 to make a chainless bicycle, but soon turned to supplying components to other cycle builders. The coming of the motor car was an incentive to extend their activities, which they did to a great extent, becoming one of France's major suppliers of chassis, steering gears and most components apart from engines. They also made a few complete cars; a surviving example of 1897 has a 4hp horizontal single cylinder engine, chain drive and a 4 seater "vis-a-vis" body, and another dated 1903 has a vertical 8hp single cylinder engine and tonneau body.
