The front brakes on the 1969 model are Triumph Vitess. The original Triumph brakes were fed by a piping arrangement that is incomprehensible and devoid of any reason. The arrangement shown uses a metal bonded pipe from a mounting on the front of the wood chassis direct to the calipers. It works fine.
