Benny Parsons was born on the 12th July 1941. He started racing stock cars in 1964 and won Rookie of the year honours when he joined ARCA in 1965 and went on to win the ARCA championship in 1968 and again in 1969.
Benny went to NASCAR in 1970 with first year car owned by L.G.DeWitt. They entered 45 races and finished 8th in Grand National points for one great rookie season.
In 1973 the Parsons/ De Witt combination won the NASCAR Grand National championship.
The Daytona 500 was won by Parsons in 1975 giving him the status of a truly great NASCAR superstar.
